Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday March 24, 2015.

Cattle Receipts: 2,939   Last Week:  2,853   Last Year:  3,434

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
2.00 lower. All feeder classes sold steady to 5.00 higher. Trade 
active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 10 percent, 
and feeders 79 percent. The feeder supply included 23 percent 
steers, 45 percent heifers, and 32 percent bulls. Near 16 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 72 head 685 lbs 205.25; 272 head 700-750 
(725) lbs 202.50-205.50 (204.00). Cattle sold with a 2-3 percent shrink, 5-6 
cent slide up only, and to be delivered March 25-31 August, 2015.
