Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday October 20, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 4,748   Last Week:  4,076   Last Year:  4,477 

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
2.00 higher. All feeder classes sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher. 
Trade active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 percent, 
and feeders 82 percent. The feeder supply included 19 percent 
steers, 43 percent heifers, and 38 percent bulls. Near 23 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
