Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday October 07, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 5,232   Last Week:  5,334   Last Year:  N/A   

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
3.00 lower. All feeder classes sold steady to 4.00 higher. Trade 
active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 percent, 
and feeders 83 percent. The feeder supply included 38 percent 
steers, 39 percent heifers, and 23 percent bulls. Near 20 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
