Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday July 28, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 3,249   Last Week:  4,435   Last Year:  3,224

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 
3.00 higher. All feeder classes sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
Trade moderate with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows 
and pairs sold firm. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 
percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply included 
25 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, and 39 percent bulls. 
Near 15 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
