Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday August 28, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 3,399   Last Week: 3,670   Last Year: 1,868

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady.
All feeder classes sold steady to 2.00 lower. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold steady to firm. Trade moderate with moderate demand on 
feeders. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 
percent, replacement cows and pairs 10 percent, and feeders 79 
percent. The feeder supply included 34 percent steers, 36 percent 
heifers, and 30 percent bulls. Near 38 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
