Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday April 02, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 3,197     Last Week: 2,739     Last Year: 2,334

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Trade 
moderate with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold steady to firm. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of 
the offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 12
percent, and feeders 77 percent. The feeder supply included 20 
percent steers, 39 percent heifers, and 41 percent bulls. Near 
27 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
