Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday January 14, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 2,687      Last Week: 3,982     Last Year: 4,337

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady. 
All feeder classes sold steady to 3.00 higher. Trade moderate with 
moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold steady 
to firm. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, Bulls 
1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 10 percent, and feeders 79 
percent. The feeder supply included 26 percent steers, 41 percent 
heifers, and 32 percent bulls. Near 21 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
