Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of what
would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Sheep and Lambs: Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs traded mostly sharply
lower on all classes of lambs sold. Demand was moderate throughout the sale. Slaughter
ewes traded mostly sharply lower as a heavy supply was offered. Slaughter supply
consisted of 74 percent lambs, 22 percent slaughter ewes and the remaining 4 percent,
slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep
and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and Prime

Slaughter Goats: Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kids sold
mostly steady to weak with the exception of whether kids which were steady to firm.
Slaughter nannies sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower with moderate demand. Slaughter bucks
were weak on moderate demand. Slaughter supply consisted of 52 percent Slaughter
Kids, 30 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 18 percent bucks/billies and whethers.
All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
