Sheep/Lamb Receipts: 1915   Last Monday: 2085   Year Ago: 1311

are subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through
mainstream outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs
destined for slaughter outside of what would be termed as
traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs
sold mostly steady. Slaughter ewes traded mostly steady. Demand
was moderate for all classes. Slaughter supply consisted of
70 percent lambs, 23 percent slaughter ewes, and 7 percent
miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for
non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the
hundred weight,on actual weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn
Choice and Prime 2-3 40-60 lbs 138.00-142.00; 60-80 lbs 152.00-
156.00; 90-110 lbs 138.00-142.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and
Choice 1-3 60-80 lbs 125.00-130.00, hair sheep 135.00-140.00;
90-110 lbs 112.00-138.00; 110-120 lbs 117.00-130.00; 130-140
lbs 134.00-145.00. 

   Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 100-110 lbs 58.00-
62.00; 150-180 lbs 50.00-56.00. Utility 1-2 Thin Flesh 120-160
lbs 34.00-40.00; 200-210 lbs 48.00-50.00; Cull 1-2 120-160 lbs
30.00-34.00.

   Slaughter Bucks: 120-130 lbs 78.00-82.00; 200-225 lbs 
50.00-62.00. 
                       
   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid
goats sold mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Slaughter Nanny goats
sold mostly steady. Slaughter billies sold mostly steady.
Demand was moderate for all classes. Slaughter supply consisted
of 56 percent Slaughter Kids, 32 percent Slaughter Nannies, and
12 percent bucks/billies and whethers. All Goats are sold by
the head on estimated weights.
          
    Slaughter Kids: Selection 1  40-60 lbs 116.00-135.00; 60-80
lbs 124.00-152.00; 80-110 lbs 142.00-160.00. Selection 2 40-60
lbs 96.00-116.00; 60-80 lbs 108.00-120.00; 80-110 lbs 120.00-
140.00. Selection 3 40-60 lbs 56.00-87.00; 60-80 lbs 84.00-100.00.

    Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 100-130 lbs 134.00-165.00;
130-150 lbs 150.00-158.00. Selection 2 90-130 lbs 108.00-132.00;
130-150 lbs 130.00-150.00. Selection 3 60-80 lbs 68.00-102.00;
80-120 lbs 80.00-104.00.

    Slaughter Bucks/Billies: Selection 1 135 lbs 257.00; 150-175

    Slaughter Whethers: Selection 1 60-80 lbs 192.00-220.00; 80-
