Sheep/Lamb Receipts: 2109   Last Monday: 3230    Year Ago: 2640

***Report format change: Traditional markets refer to lambs that are 
subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream
outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter
outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs
sold mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Slaughter ewes traded 5.00-
10.00 higher. Demand was moderate for all classes. Slaughter
supply consisted of 81 percent lambs, 11 percent slaughter ewes,
and 8 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are
destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are
sold by the hundred weight,on actual weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn
Choice and Prime 2-3 40-50 lbs hair sheep 130.00-138.00; 50-60
lbs 134.00-180.00; 60-70 lbs 135.00-175.00; 60-70 lbs hair
sheep 126.00-130.00; 85 lbs 126.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and
Prime 3-4 40-60 lbs 185.00-216.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and
Choice 1-3 50-60 lbs 112.00-115.00, hair sheep 108.00-124.00;
60-80 lbs 110.00-128.00, hair sheep 108.00-124.00; 80-110 lbs
108.00-124.00, hair sheep 104.00-120.00; 110-130 lbs 110.00-
122.00; 130-150 lbs 110.00-118.00. Wooled and Shorn Utility and

   Slaughter Bucks: 90-120 lbs hair sheep 95.00-100.00; 130-160
lbs hair sheep 70.00-90.00; 150-190 lbs 48.00-77.00; 200-250 lbs

   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid
goats sold mostly steady. Slaughter Nanny goats sold mostly
10.00-20.00 higher. Slaughter billies sold mostly 10.00-20.00
higher steady. Demand was moderate for all classes. Slaughter
supply consisted of 47 percent Slaughter Kids, 37 percent
Slaughter Nannies, and 16 percent bucks/billies and whethers.
All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
          
    Slaughter Kids: Selection 1  40-60 lbs 118.00-135.00; 60-80
lbs 122.00-144.00; 80-100 lbs 128.00-152.00; 100-120 lbs 112.00-
138.00. Selection 2 40-60 lbs 82.00-100.00; 60-80 lbs 102.00-
118.00; 80-100 lbs 98.00-122.00. Selection 3 40-60 lbs 58.00-
82.00; 60-80 lbs 92.00-102.00.   

    Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 80-130 lbs 140.00-168.00;
