subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream outlets.
Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of what
would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs sold
10.00-20.00 lower. Slaughter ewes traded steady. Demand was light on
moderate supplies as buyers shy from heavy trade activity until the later
part of Ramadan. Slaughter supply consisted of 70 percent lambs, 24
percent slaughter ewes, and 6 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and
lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are
sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.

2-3 40-60 lbs 139.00-167.00; 60-80 lbs 142.00-160.00; 80-100 lbs 142.00-
160.00; 100-130 lbs 120.00-140.00; 130-150 lbs 128.00-142.00. Wooled and
Shorn Good and Choice 1-3 60-80 lbs 120.00-142.00; 80-100 lbs 128.00-142.00;
100-130 lbs 124.00-140.00. Wooled and Shorn Utility and Good 1-2 40-60 lbs
97.00-130.00; 60-80 lbs 110.00-128.00; 80-100 lbs 118.00.
Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 90-160 lbs 56.00-68.00; 160-200 lbs
54.00-68.00. Utility 1-2 Thin Flesh 120-160 lbs 30.00-45.00; 160-200 lbs
50.00-56.00.
Slaughter Bucks: 200-300 lbs 68.00.
Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid goats sold
unevenly steady with moderate demand. Some firmness in the market was
noted for heavier goats. Nannies sold 15.00-25.00 higher driven by light
supplies. Bills sold weak with moderate demand. Slaughter supply consisted
of 63 percent Slaughter Kids, 15 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 22 percent
bucks/billies and wethers. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated
weights.
