Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 5.00-6.00 higher on a very
light test. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly steady.
Holstein steers sold steady to 1.00 higher on a very light test. Slaughter
heifers traded 3.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower on
moderate demand. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady on a very light test.
Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies included 120 steers; 58 heifers;
366 cows; 16 bulls; and 20 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

128.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1650 lbs 115.00-119.50. Select 1-2 1250-1700 lbs
110.00-116.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 110.00-127.50.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 5.00-10.00 lower on moderate demand. Holstein
heifer calves sold sharply higher for the second week on very good demand.

Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 94-128 lbs 85.00-99.00. Number
2 88-128 lbs 70.00-80.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 54.00-57.00. Utility 60-
110 lbs 20.00-35.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-95 lbs 400.00-450.00. Number 2
80-95 lbs 300.00-390.00. Number 3 80-90 lbs 250.00-290.00. Utility/Non-
tubing 65-110 lbs 15.00-45.00.
