Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady to 1.00
higher. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 2.00-4.00 higher.
Holstein steers sold steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter heifers traded mostly
steady. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher on moderate demand.
Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady. Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies
included 169 steers; 65 heifers; 430 cows; 27 bulls; and 14 feeder calves.

119.00, few 120.00-122.50. Choice 2-3 1300-1650 lbs 113.50-116.50. Select

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 10.00-30.00 higher on good demand. Holstein heifer
calves sold sharply higher on good demand. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 464 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are
sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 98-128 lbs 95.00-105.00. Number
2 80-128 lbs 85.00-99.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 77.00-91.00. Utility 80-
110 lbs 60.00-82.00; 60-78 lbs 20.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-100 lbs 240.00-270.00. Number 2
90-100 lbs 200.00-230.00; 70-80 lbs 150.00-200.00. Utility/Non-tubing 50-90
lbs 11.00-50.00.
