Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 2.00-4.00 lower. High
dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and
most are extremely lean. Those steers sold steady to 2.00 lower. Holstein
steers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter heifers not tested
last week so no comparison this week. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00
higher with good demand. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to weak on a
light test compared to a very light test. Demand was moderate. Cattle
supplies included 178 steers; 63 heifers; 371 cows; 24 bulls; and
15 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1400-1650 lbs 116.00-
118.00. Choice 2-3 1350-1650 lbs 113.50-116.00. Select 1-2 1200-1650
lbs 110.00-114.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 111.00-121.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1250-1750 lbs 82.50-85.00, individual

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower on moderate demand. Holstein
heifer calves sold firm compared to a light test. Ag Market News LLC under
the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 505 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 102-128 lbs 84.00-90.00; 94-100
lbs 75.00-80.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs 75.00-89.00; 80-104 lbs 65.00-70.00.
Number 3 72-130 lbs 50.00-55.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 15.00-30.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-110 lbs 180.00-205.00. Number 2
70-110 lbs 110.00-180.00. Utility/Non-tubing 50-90 lbs 11.00-40.00.
