Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower. High
dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold primarily to the ethnic market
and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter
Holstein steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Not enough Slaughter heifers for a
market test. Slaughter cows sold steady with the exception of Lean cows
which sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls sold
mostly 4.00-5.00 lower on a light test. Cattle supplies included
254 steers; 41 heifers; 344 cows; 20 bulls; and 24 feeder calves. All
prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1525 lbs 97.00-
103.00. Choice 2-3 1050-1700 lbs 92.50-97.00. Select 1-2 1300-1650
lbs 88.00-96.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1200-1700 lbs 91.00-105.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 20.00-30.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves 30.00-40.00 lower
on a very light test. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 361 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 110-128 lbs 97.00-105.00; 94-
108 lbs 110.00-117.00; 90-92 lbs 80.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs 97.00-
108.00; 98-104 lbs 117.00-125.00; 88-96 lbs 80.00-108.00; 80--86 lbs
45.00-52.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs 65.00-82.00; 72-88 lbs 30.00-40.00.
Utility 60-110 lbs 20.00-40.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 100 lbs 240.00. Number 2 80-100
lbs 150.00-190.00.
