Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 4.00-5.00 higher.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 higher.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 3.00-4.00 higher compared to a
light test last week. Slaughter heifers traded mostly steady compared to
a very light test last week. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand
was moderate. Slaughter bulls sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher with the
exception of Very High Dressing which sold sharply higher. Cattle
supplies included 287 steers; 48 heifers; 378 cows; 47 bulls; and
21 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

118.00. Choice 2-3 1325-1650 lbs 108.00-113.00. Select 1-2 1300-1600

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold mostly
mostly 10.00-20.00 lower on a light test. Demand was moderate. Ag Market
News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 444 head for Thursday's
sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-128 lbs 800.00-900.00.
Number 2 80-128 lbs 75.00-90.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 65.00-70.00.
Utility 60-110 lbs 40.00-52.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 85-105 lbs 160.00-185.00. Number
2 80-85 lbs 140.00-160.00. Number 3 70-90 lbs 80.00-100.00. Non-tubing/
Utility 50-85 lbs 15.00-50.00.
