Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady to 2.00
lower. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold weak on a
light test and poorer quality supplies. Slaughter Holstein steers traded
mostly steady. Slaughter heifers sold steady to weak compared to a light
test last week. Demand was moderate. Slaughter cows sold mostly 1.00-2.00
lower. Demand was good. Slaughter bulls traded mostly steady to weak.
Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies included 202 steers; 68 heifers;
454 cows; 18 bulls; and 11 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 15.00-20.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold 30.00-40.00
higher. Supply and demand were moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 469 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.

Number 2 98-128 lbs 177.00-187; 88-96 lbs 215.00-232.00; 80-86 lbs
