Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher. High
dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and
most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold mostly 2.00-6.00 higher.
Slaughter Holstein steers traded mostly 2.00 higher on poorer quality
supplies compared to a light lest last week. Slaughter heifers not tested.
Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand was good. Slaughter bulls
sold 5.00-7.00 higher compared to a light test last week. Demand was good.
Cattle supplies included 193 steers; 48 heifers; 395 cows; 20 bulls; and
18 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1300-1600 lbs 128.00-
132.50. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 122.00-127.00. Select 1-3 1200-1700
lbs 115.00-121.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 122.50-136.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1300-1700 lbs 107.50-115.50. Select
1-2 1300-1700 lbs 102.50-108.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
claves sold mostly 30.00-60.00 higher with some steadiness noted in
number 3 and Utility calves. Holstein heifer calves sold 20.00-40.00
higher. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 419 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the
cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 110-128 lbs 190.00-217.00; 90-
108 lbs 234.00-250.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs 200.00-225.00; 80-104 lbs
231.00-250.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 185.00-195.00; 72-98 lbs 205.00-
226.00. Utility 90-110 lbs 140.00-160.00; 60-88 lbs 175.00-195.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 100-120 lbs 230.00-250.00; 80-100
