Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 2.00-4.00 lower.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market
and most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold mostly steady.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 3.00-5.00 lower. There was a large
number of Holstein steers weighing over 1650 lbs on offer today. These
heavy steers brought a 5.00-10.00/cwt discount. Slaughter Heifers
sold mostly 3.00-5.00 lower on a very light test. Demand was moderate
for all classes. Slaughter cows sold mostly 4.00-5.00 lower. Demand was
light. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower. Demand was
moderate. Cattle supplies included 275 steers; 60 heifers; 402 cows;
32 bulls; and 48 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1300-1600 lbs 121.00-
122.50. Choice 2-3 1400-1600 lbs 118.50-120.50. Select 1-3 1300-1600
lbs 112.00-118.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 115.00-128.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1400-1650 lbs few
109.00-113.00; 1650-1750 lbs 104.00-108.00. Choice 2-3 1200-1650 lbs

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly steady to 40.00 lower with most movement in number 2
and 3 calves. Demand was moderate. Holstein heifer calves sold 20.00-
50.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded
446 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 98-128 lbs 260.00-272.00; 90-
96 lbs 230.00-245.00. Number 2 112-128 lbs 215.00-215.00; 88-110 lbs
230.00-255.00; 80-86 lbs 200.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 150.00-175.00.
Utility 60-110 lbs 140.00-155.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-100 lbs 360.00-410.00. Number 2
