Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 4.00-5.00 higher
on poorer quality offerings. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today these
steers sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Not enough Slaughter Heifers
or Slaughter Holstein steers for a market test. Demand was moderate for
all classes. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was
moderate. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to firm compared to a light
test last week. Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies included 185 steers;
67 heifers; 340 cows; 22 bulls; and 39 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

134.00. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 128.00-132.00. Select 1-3 1200-1650

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 80.00-110.00 higher. Demand was good. Holstein
heifer calves sold 40.00-60.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 430 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
