   Compared to last Thursday's sale, Slaughter steers sold
mostly steady. Slaughter Holsteins sold 2.00-3.00 higher.
Not enough Slaughter heifers last week for a good market test
but a higher undertone noted. Demand good. Slaughter cows sold
mostly 3.00-4.00 higher. Demand was good. Cattle supplies
included 268 slaughter steers; 113 heifers; 446 cows; 136 bulls;
and 20 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1300-1600 lbs mostly
156.00-161.00, few to 162.50. Choice 2-3  1250-1650 lbs 150.00-155.50.
Select 1-3 1250-1650 lbs 146.50-148.50.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4  few 1350-1650 lbs
152.00-154.00. Choice 2-3  1300-1650 lbs 146.00-150.00. Select 1-2
1350-1700 lbs 136.00-144.00.  

   Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 few 1200-1500 lbs

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week Holstein bull
calves sold mostly 60.00 to 80.00 higher with good demand. Heifers sold
50.00-80.00 higher compared to last week. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 376 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt. 

   Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  110-128 lbs 255.00-417.00; 
94-108 lbs 435.00-439.00; 90-92 lbs 444.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs
357.00-392.00; 98-104 lbs 390.00-402.00; 80-95 lbsd 385.00-460.00. 
Number 3 100-130 lbs 337.00-340.00. Utility 90-110 lbs 160.00-300.00;
60-88 lbs 160.00-300.00.

   Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  80-115 lbs 340.00-370.00. Number 2
