When compared to last Thursday`s sale, slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-
2.00 higher. Demand was good. Slaughter Holsteins steady to 1.00 higher with
moderate demand and a very light test. Slaughter heifers steady to 1.00
higher on a light test. Buyer activity was good. Slaughter cows mostly 1.00-
2.00 higher. Demand was good. Cattle supplies included 241 slaughter steers;
92 heifers; 504 cows; 29 bulls; and 6 feeder cattle. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1250-1650 lbs 129.00-
134.25. Choice 2-3 1270-1600 lbs 124.00-128.50. Select 1-3 1250-1650
lbs 117.00-123.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1550-1650 lbs 105.00-108.00. Select
1-3 1400-1600 lbs 99.00-104.00.
Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1550 lbs 126.00-

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: When compared to last Thursday's sale,
Holstein bull calves sold mixed, with number 1 calves trading steady to firm
while number 2 and number 3 calves traded 10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was good
despite an overall decline in quality. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-
LMAR program graded 406 head for this Thursday's graded sale. One hundred
percent supply Holstein calves unless otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Graded Bull Calves: Number 1 94-128 lbs 132.00-141.00; 90-92 lbs 115.00.
Number 2 94-128 lbs 122.00-129.00; 80-92 lbs 101.00-112.00. Number 3 100-
130 lbs 81.00-89.00; 90-98 lbs 97.00-105.00; 80-88 lbs 80.00-82.00; 72-78 lbs
22.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 15.00-40.00.
