Receipts:  2039    Week Ago:  1979    Year Ago:  1696

   Compared to last week, steers sold steady to 8.00 higher; heifers 2.00 to
10.00 higher except five weight heifers up to 10.00 than last week?s strong
showing.  Supply heavy; demand very good.  Cows and bulls were 13 percent
of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 61 percent of the
run; heifers 39 percent.  Near 28 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.
Slaughter cows traded steady to 1.00 higher.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 243.50-265.00; 400-500 lbs
226.75-255.00; 500-600 lbs 227.00-247.00; 600-700 lbs 204.00-226.00; 700-
800 lbs 194.00-196.00; 815-840 lbs 184.50-189.00; two load lots 901-947 lbs
181.00-183.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  pkg 295 lbs thin 283.00; 300-400 lbs
