Sire Price Report
These numbers represent the prices of calves sired by each sire vs the average price of similar lots in public auction of 8,375 cattle over the past three-years. A ratio of 100.00 indicates a bull's offspring sold for the average of other similar cattle in the same sales. Steers are compared to steers, open heifers to open heifers, bull to bulls, etc.
It is important to note that the prices of these bull's offspring are typically being compared the prices of other offspring from high powered bulls. A ratio of less than 100 obviously doesn't mean that a bull brings down the value of his calves. They should be taken with a grain of salt but they are taken directly from the prices their offspring have sold for in public auctions.
