Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/12/2013
Receipts: 2115 Last Week: 3400 Year Ago: 2300
Compared to two weeks ago, steers sold steady to 5.00 higher and
heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Demand was good to very good from a
large crowd of buyers. Heavy supply of slaughter cows and bulls continue
to come to town. Few, went back to the country. Supply included 67
percent feeders balance on slaughter cattle, cow/calf pairs, and baby
calves. Of the feeders, steers 36 percent of the run, 62 percent heifers,
balance on bull calves with 86 percent of the run over 600 lbs. Special
feeder cattle sale two weeks, June 26th.
