Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for the week of 06/17/2013
Receipts This Week: 10,034 Last Week: 12,348 Last Year: 7215
Monday's Actual: 9,247
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher.
Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves uneven but
a higher undertone for long weaned calves. Quality plain to average. Warm
temperatures and slight chances for storms are in the forecast for the week.
Wheat harvest is in progress in the Southern parts of the state and should be in
full swing by the end of the week. Supply included 87 percent over 600 lbs. and
39 percent heifers.
