Feeder Cattle and Cow auction for 5/13/2013
Receipts: 771 Last Week: 522 Last Year: 911
Compared last week, 400 lbs steers sold 1.00 higher, the rest of the
offering sold 1.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 higher and bulls
sold 2.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately
14 percent of the run; 86 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 37
percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled
around 21 percent.
