Sheep/Lamb Receipts: 2085   Last Monday: 1649   Year Ago: 1167

***Report format change: Traditional markets refer to lambs that
are subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through
mainstream outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs
destined for slaughter outside of what would be termed as
traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs
sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Slaughter ewes traded
10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes.
Slaughter supply consisted of 76 percent lambs, 19 percent
slaughter ewes, and 5 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep
and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep
and lambs are sold by the hundred weight,on actual weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn
Choice and Prime 2-3 50-70 lbs 158.00-195.00; 50-70 lbs hair
sheep 150.00-172.00; 70-80 lbs 160.00-160.00. Wooled and Shorn
Choice and Prime 3-4 50-60 lbs 230.00. Wooled and Shorn Good

   Slaughter Bucks: 130-150 lbs 50.00-102.00; 150-180 lbs
hair sheep 80.00-87.00; 170-200 lbs 54.00-86.00; 200-220 lbs

   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid
goats sold mostly steady. Slaughter Nanny goats sold mostly
5.00-10.00 lower. Slaughter billies sold mostly steady.
Demand was good for all classes. Slaughter supply consisted of
66 percent Slaughter Kids, 22 percent Slaughter Nannies, and
12 percent bucks/billies and whethers. All Goats are sold by
the head on estimated weights.
          
    Slaughter Kids: Selection 1  40-60 lbs 112.00-142.00; 60-80
lbs 126.00-162.00; 80-110 lbs 126.00-187.00. Selection 2 40-60
lbs 98.00-110.00; 60-80 lbs 106.00-124.00; 80-90 lbs 122.00-
