   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold sharply lower compared
to a very light supply last week. Slaughter steers sold 8.00-10.00 lower.
High dressing Lean steers sold 18.00-20.00 lower on light demand as the
ethnic buyer attendance was light. The same can be noted for the slaughter
bull market, which trended mostly 10.00-12.00 lower. Slaughter cows not
reported due to federal holiday. Today's cattle supply included
226 slaughter steers; 151 heifers; 239 cows; 124 bulls and 171 feeder 
cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1350-1600 lbs 115.50-
117.00. Choice 2-3  1350-1650 lbs 112.00-113.50. Select 1-2  1350-1600
lbs 106.00-111.00. High dressing Lean steers 101.00-123.00, few 125.00-
133.00.  

   Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3  1350-1650 lbs few 86.00-90.00.

   Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1250-1400 lbs few 111.00-
