   Compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers not tested last week but
sold 6.00-8.00 higer than two weeks ago. High dressing Lean Steers are steers 
sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today those 
steers traded firm. Demand was very good. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower 
compared to last week. Demand was light to moderate. Slaughter Bulls sold 4.00
-5.00 higher. Cattle supplies included 144 slaughter steers; 82 heifers; 336 
cows; 122 bulls and 87 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: Choice 1-2  1300-1700 lbs 147.00-152.00. Select 1-3  
141.00-146.00. High dressing Lean Steers 154.00-157.00.

   Slaughter Bulls: Yield Grade 1  950-1700 lbs Avg Dress 130.00-135.00,

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, no comparison due 
to last week's holiday schedule. A weak undertone was noted for the both the
Holstien bull calves and heifer calves. Demand was moderate. Supply was good.
