   When compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers traded mostly
steady to 1.00 lower. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today those steers
traded mostly 1.00-2.00 lower compared to last week. Slaughter cows sold
mostly 1.00-2.00 higher compared to last week. Demand was good. Slaughter
Bulls sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower. Cattle supplies included 154 slaughter
steers; 123 heifers; 333 cows; 114 bulls and 86 feeder cattle. All prices
quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: Choice 1-2 1350-1650 lbs 149.00-151.00. Select 1-3 1300-
1600 lbs 145.00-148.00. High dressing Lean Steers 150.00-167.00.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 10.00-20.00 higher. Demand was good. Holstein heifer calves
sold steady to 10.00 lower compared to a very light test last week. Demand
was good. All prices per cwt.     

Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  100-115 lbs 575.00-600.00; 85-95 lbs 625.00-
660.00. Number 2  100-120 lbs 525.00-575.00; 80-95 lbs 585.00-610.00. Number
3  100-120 lbs 485.00-525.00; 75-95 lbs 525.00-550.00. Utility 100-125 lbs 
350.00-400.00; 65-95 lbs 400.00-450.00. 

Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  80-95 lbs 400.00-425.00; 75-80 lbs 375.00-
400.00. Number 2  70-90 lbs 350.00-375.00. Utility/Non-tubing 75-85 lbs 
250.00-300.00; 55-65 lbs 100.00-150.00.
