When compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers traded mostly
1.00-2.00 higher compared to a light test last week. High dressing Lean
Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are
extremely lean. Today those steers traded mostly steady with last week.
Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower compared to last week.
Demand was moderate. Slaughter Bulls sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher.
Cattle supplies included 113 slaughter steers; 107 heifers; 286 cows;
90 bulls and 116 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: Choice 1-2 1300-1600 lbs 160.00-165.00. Select 1-3
1300-1650 lbs 153.00-159.50. High dressing Lean Steers 160.00-174.50.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull calves
sold mostly 25.00-40.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold steady to firm on a
very light test. Demand was moderate. All prices per cwt.
Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 100-110 lbs 535.00-560.00; 70-100 lbs
575.00-625.00. Number 2 100-120 lbs 500.00-535.00; 80-100 lbs 525.00-
560.00. Number 3 120-130 lbs 435.00-460.00; 100-115 lbs 450.00-500.00;
75-100 lbs 475.00-525.00. Utility 70-95 lbs 350.00-400.00; 100-120 lbs
275.00-350.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 85-105 lbs 400.00-425.00. Number 2
